A few days ago, Chris Brown and Davido surprised fans when they announced an impending collaboration, “Blow My Mind”. Well, the highly anticipated track is finally here, and the pop heavyweights have delivered a song that feels destined to be a big hit.

“Blow My Mind” opens with a surprisingly solid vocal performance from Davido. As we initially suspected, the afropop juggernaut uses his verse and chorus to sing loving lyrics to a girl who simply blows his mind.

Awarded only the song’s second verse, Chris Brown spends his bars under a spell. In love with a girl with a bit of an attitude, the Grammy winner asserts that he doesn’t care what the haters say about her or their relationship.

Davido and Chris Brown’s joint effort is not quite the uptempo banger we were expecting — for the most part, due to Shizzi’s super chill beat — but the certified hit-makers still make it work, just as we predicted they would.
