On Tuesday, bandits raided a mosque in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara state, and kidnapped numerous worshippers.
The attack occurred during the Tahajjud congregational prayer, a special observance by Muslims during the last 10 days of the Holy Month of Ramadan.
There have been several attacks by bandits in some states especially in the North with North Western States such as Kaduna, Zamfara and others being the worst hit in recent times.
Meanwhile, security agencies and the Zamfara State government have not reacted to this recent development.
