Kaduna State government has backed it prior announced measures on travellers coming into the state from other states with action by setting aside a special Coronavirus quarantine centre for such people.
The governor Nasir El-Rufai’s led government of Kaduna State announced that it has set out the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp located on the Kaduna-Abuja highway to be used as COVID-19 quarantine centre for travellers.
Naija News understands that the state government action was a part of its efforts to avoid further spread and new cases of the dreadful COVID-19 disease from other states.
The development was confirmed on Thursday, April 16 by the deputy governor of the state, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, during her inspection visit to the temporary quarantine centre.
Dr Balarabe reiterates that the NYSC camp facility would be used mainly to quarantine travellers coming into the state at this time of total lockdown in the state.
The deputy governor who was accompanied by other members of the COVID-19 Task Force in Kaduna added that the measure was part of measures to contain the further spread of coronavirus.
