Davido Steals The Show On Guccimaneeko's New Single, 'No Case'

Right now, Davido is undoubtedly the biggest name in afropop, with achievements that can only be rivaled by a few others. With his position at the top, Davido is generously spreading his star power, offering up features to just about everyone.

Earlier this week, we heard him with Teeban and Blublood on “Winner”, and now he’s got another feature credit for another obscure artist, Guccimaneeko on his new single, “No Case”, which also features Pasuma and DJ Jimmy Jatt.

Unsurprisingly, Davido steals the show as he channels his inner streets boy on the song’s infectious chorus. Sampling Rihanna’s “Man Down”, Davido sings of how there are no legal repercussions to street violence, with the lyrics “I just shot a man down, no case, no case”.

The rest of the Drumphase-produced track follows each artist through their recollection of their streets days. Whilst Pasuma is grateful to be on a song with Davido, Lagos‘ knock-off Gucci Mane claims to be blessed with fame — hopefully, his positive affirmation comes to fruition.
