Ekiti State chapter of Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has dismissed another randy secondary school teacher who allegedly impregnated a 17-year-old student, preparing for Senior Secondary Certificate Examination.

The dismissed teacher identified as Mr. Owoosi Gbenga was a Grade level 10 officer, who taught Economics at Alarelu Comprehensive High School, Igbara Odo-Ekiti in Ekiti South Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking with newsmen in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday, the Commission’s Chairman, Hon. Babatunde Abegunde said the randy teacher was dismissed following a thorough and in-depth investigation carried out by a six-member Disciplinary Committee.

Abegunde further explained that Mr. Gbenga was dismissed to serve as a deterrent to others who might want to indulge in such depraved and unethical act.

This is coming barely one week after Ekiti Government dismissed three teachers who were accused of sexually molesting pupils in their schools.
