President Muhammadu Buhari has departed Japan after participating in the seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD7)) in the country.

KanyiDaily recalls that the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu had issued a shocking threat, saying President Buhari will never leave Japan.

According to Nnamdi Kanu, President Buhari has been encircled and trapped by members of IPOB in his (Buhari) hideout in a Yokohama hotel, adding that there is no escape for the Nigerian leader.

The IPOB leader also claimed that his members know where the President’s presidential jet is and will never allow him to leave Japan, adding that even if the Nigerian Government try to smuggle him (Buhari) out by hiding him in a diplomatic bag, they (IPOB) shall get hold of him.

However, a statement issued by the President’s New Media aide, Bashir Ahmad, revealed that Buhari has departed Yokohama, Japan for Abuja on Saturday. The tweet reads:

“After the successful participation in the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (#TICAD7) President @MBuhari has departed Yokohama, Japan for Abuja.”
