Suleman observed that it was wrong to apply force on a group of people who are emotional over a cause.
Reacting to the clashes between the police and IMN members, the clergyman said use of force against those pushing for a cause would lead to casualties, hence the need for dialogue.
Several persons were injured while many vehicles belonging to the agency were set ablaze in the bloody attack.
However, Suleman insisted on government engaging the group in a dialogue.
In a series of tweets, Suleman also lamented the spate of killings and high-level of insecurity across the country.
“In as much as I strongly condemn the activities of Shiites members, I equally advise the fed govt to dialogue with them. When people are emotional over a cause, you don’t go forceful on them.there will be casualties on both sides. Dialogue now, please.
“The level of killings/insecurity in Nigeria is worrisome. No one can deny it’s a reality. its audible to the deaf and visible to the blind, anything doable to curb blood flow is welcome. Dialogue now please,” Suleman tweeted.
