The Obi/Baba-Ahmed Presidential Campaign Organisation has revealed its financial details, disclosing expenditures of over N744,500,000.00 in litigation related to the 2023 presidential election.

Furthermore, the organization reported receiving donations totaling N595,976,994.00 from Nigerians. Aisha Yesufu, Chairman of the Fundraising Team, emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability, stating, “Accountability and transparency are very critical and important; that is why we asked people to donate so that we could come back to them to explain how their money was judiciously used.”

Yesufu expressed gratitude to all donors and outlined the organization’s strategic approach, which involved supporting Peter Obi and Datti Ahmed through various support groups nationwide and media campaigns reaching over 11 million people.

She detailed expenses, including procurement and distribution of campaign materials, media broadcasting costs, election promotion expenses, payments to polling unit agents, bank charges, administrative charges, and legal fees amounting to N744,500,000.00. Yesufu also noted a personal contribution of N8,000,000.00 from Peter Obi, the candidate himself.
