Gunmen have allegedly abducted two sisters in the Chikakore community in the Kubwa area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), demanding a ransom of N30 million for their release.
According to Punch, the gunmen forcibly entered the girls’ residence on Sunday at around 11 pm, with details of the incident surfacing on Wednesday.
It was gathered that the kidnappers took three siblings – two teenage girls aged 16 and 14, along with their brother. Subsequently, the boy was released with instructions to organize the ransom for the safe return of his sisters.
During the intrusion, the girls’ father sought help outside after learning about the gunmen attempting to enter his home. Upon his return, he discovered that two of his children had been taken by the assailants.
The kidnappers have allegedly communicated a demand for a N30 million ransom for the safe release of the abducted sisters.
Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the FCT police command, has not yet responded to request for comments on the incident.
KanyiDaily recalls that the police recently arrested Bello Mohammed, a bandit suspected of being involved in the murder of hostage Nabeeha Al-Kadriyar, one of six girls from the Al-Kadriyar family abducted, along with 17 others, in Abuja.
