Former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Godwin Emefiele has appeared in court again.
This time around, the Ex-CBN Boss is seeking a modification of his bail conditions.
Emefiele, facing six counts related to procurement fraud amounting to N1.2bn, is seeking changes in the terms of his bail for the first time. This appearance is notable as it is the first without armed security personnel escorting him to the courtroom.
Emefiele was released from Kuje Custodial Centre on December 23, 2023, 34 days after being granted bail. The FCT High Court’s Justice Hamza Muazu is currently hearing arguments on the requested modifications.
