Atalanta celebrated Ademola Lookman’s brace in the Super Eagles’ 3-0 win against Benin Republic in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers in Uyo on Saturday.

Lookman and Victor Osimhen were the scorers for the Eagles who got their qualifying campaign off to the perfect start.

With the first half heading for a stalemate, Lookman opened the scoring two minutes into first half stoppage time.

Osimhen, who came on in the second half, made it 2-0 in the 78th minute with a fantastic volley.

Just five minutes after Osimhen’s goal, Lookman got his second goal to make it 3-0.

Reacting to the win, Atalanta posted Lookman’s name on their X handle alongside two balls which indicate his brace.

“ADEM⚽️⚽️LA.”

Lookman would hope to add to his tally in the qualifiers when the Eagles travel to Kigali to face Rwanda on matchday 2, on Tuesday, September 10.

Recently, Lookman was nominated for the 2024 Ballon d’Or award, and is the only African who made the 30-man shortlist.
