Families of slain policemen in Adamawa state have received compensations.

According to the Adamawa State Police Command, it presented N32 million cheques to the next of kin of 53 such officers in line with the service group life assurance/group personal accident and IGP family welfare scheme.

This was confirmed in a statement by the state command spokesman, SP Suleiman Nguroje.

Today, Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola, on behalf of Inspector-General of Police, Ag. IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetekun, presented cheques amounting to N32,017,640.45 to 53 immediate family members.

“The beneficiaries that were presented with the cheques include the Next of Kin of deceased police officers and victims of accidents,” Nguroje stated.
