Nollywood actor, Adeniyi Johnson has made an appeal to the Nigerian police, requesting leniency in the pending case of skit maker, Trinity Guy.
KanyiDaily recalls that Trinity Guy turned himself into Oyo State Police Command on Friday, June 23, after he was invited over a disturbing skit in which he sexualized a minor.
On Monday, June 26, a family court in Ibadan ordered Trinity’s remand to Agodi correctional facility over alleged sexual exploitation of the 10-year-old girl as well as her parents on two-count charge of conspiracy and sexual abuse and exploitation alongside the skit maker.
Reacting on his Instagram page, Adeniyi Johnson implored the police to exercise mercy while dispensing justice on the skit maker, who he claimed was driven by the need to sustain himself.
He wrote, “Dear Nigerian police force and every other related agencies!!! many of us agree that our brother did what is wrong and absurd!! All I am pleading for is to TEMPER JUSTICE WITH MERCY.
“please @iamtrinityguy is a young man looking for what to eat legally but he incidentally fell on the wrong side of the law!!! Please be merciful as I know he has learnt already @nigerianpoliceforce.”
Trinity Guy also caught the attention of the Nigerian Police Spokesman, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who requested his arrest over another of his prank video where he scared passersby with ‘gunshots’
