CAF names Sikiru Alimi in Champions League team of the week

Nigerian Striker Sikiru Alimi has been named in CAF’s team of the week for the last group stage matches in the CAF Champions League, National Daily learnt

The lanky striker bagged a brace as Nigerian club side Lobi Stars defeated ASEC Mimosas of Ivory Coast 2-0 at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Enugu, Enugu State.

The Former Sunshine Stars striker took his CAF Champions League tally to five with the two goals, even though his goals could not take Lobi Stars pass the group stage

In a 4-3-3 formation, Alimi was named upfront at the left side of the attack alongside Boniface Huba of Horoya Athletic Club and Jackson Muleka of T.P Mazembe.
