Plateau United further underlined their title ambition following a hard fought 2-1 home win against Kwara Unted at the New Jos Stadium on Wednesday, reports Completesports.com.

Ibrahim Mustapha scored a brace for Plateau United in the first half , while Ajibola Adeleke pulled a goal back for the visitors after the break.

Rivers United thrashed Warri Wolves 3-0 at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt to stay in second position.

Malachi Ohawume scored a brace in the encounter, while Kunle Odunlami got the other goal.

Samad Kadiri netted the winning goal as Lobi Stars recorded a slim 1-0 win against FC Ifeanyiubah in Makurdi.

Defending champions Enyimba won 2-0 away against Adamawa United at the Pantami Stadium.

Stanley Dimgba and Cyril Olisema got both goals for Fatai Osho’s men.

Enugu Rangers also registered a 3-2 away win against Dakkada at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.

Femi Ajayi put Dakkada ahead in the sixth minute, while Isreal Abia equalised for the visitors in the 21st minute.

Ibrahim Olawoyin gave Rangers the lead for the first time in the game two minutes before the break but they were pegged back when Ajayi restored parity for the home team in the 62nd minute.

Abia however netted the winning goal for Rangers 20 minutes from time.

Katsina United shocked Sunshine Stars 2-1 in Akure, edging past the Owena Waves 2-1.

Suleiman Ibrahim and Joseph Atule were on target for Katsina United, while Silas Nwankwo got the home team only goal.

MFM defeated hard-fighting Abia Warriors 2-1 in a thrilling encounter at the Agege Stadium.

The hosts dominated play in the first half and scored twice through Dennis Obasi and Clement Ogwu.

Abia Warriors fought back after the break and reduced the deficit courtesy of a long range effort from Fatai Abdullahi.

At the Lafia City Stadium, Nasarawa United and Akwa United battled to a 0-0 draw.

In Bauchi, Wikki Tourists went down to a defeat against Kano Pillars.

Idris Guda Mohammed scored the winning goal from the spot in the 55th minute.
