Ademola Lookman was an unused substitute for Atalanta who were hammered 4-0 by Serie A champions Inter Milan on Friday night.
Lookman had been out of Atalanta’s squad in their last two league games Following reports that he was close to exiting the club which did not eventually materialised.
The Super Eagles star was then included in Atalanta’s squad for the first time in the league this season.
He had featured in the UEFA Super Cup clash against Real Madrid which Atalanta lost 2-0.
An own goal by Berat Djimsiti put Inter 1-0 up just three minutes into the game before Nicole Barella made it 2-0 on 10 minutes.
In the 47th minute Marcus Thuram got the third goal and added the fourth on 56 minutes.
After three league games played Atalanta are in 11th place while Inter, on seven points, top the league table.
