Ademola Lookman has said the Super Eagles are in buoyant mood heading into their Group B clash with hosts Cote d’Ivoire at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The three-time African champions will do battle with the Elephants at the Alassanne Quattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan on Thursday.

The Super Eagles held Equatorial Guinea to a 1-1 draw in their first game.

Lookman said the Super Eagles must approach the game with confidence.

“We are all looking forward to the game against Ivory Coast and I see no reason why we should be afraid of them,” Lookman told Completesports.com.

“They will have the crowd rooting for them, which will be good for them, but we have the experience to deal with that.”

“For us, it’s a game we have to win taking into cognisance the result of the first game.

”We will go all out and make sure we make our country proud.”
