In the lunch time kickoff, Pep Guardiola’s side came from a goal down to hammer Liverpool 4-1 at the Etihad.

Arsenal took the lead on 35 minutes against the run of play as Jesus converted from the spot after he was fouled by Luke Ayling.

Just two minutes into the second half Arsenal doubled their lead through Ben White, who slammed home Gabriel Martinelli’s swung in cross.

Jesus grabbed his second of the match on 55 minutes, meeting Leandro Trossard’s cutback on the run and guiding it home.

In the 76th minute Rasmus Kristensen pulled one back for Leeds, his deflected shot off Oleksandr Zinchenko beating Aaron Ramsdale.

But in the 84th minute Arsenal restored their three-goal lead as Granit Xhaka headed home Martin Odegaard’s cross.

At Selhurst Park, Super Eagles duo Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho featured in Leicester’s 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace.

Ndidi played for 90 minutes while Iheanacho came on in the 72nd minute.

The defeat saw Leicester (18th position) drop into the relegation spot.

At the City Ground, Taiwo Awoniyi returned from injury but could not help Nottingham Forest seal the three points as they played 1-1 against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Awoniyi came on in the 86th minute while Emmanuel Dennis was replaced in the 67th minute.

Awoniyi’s last outing for Forest was January 4th this year when he scored the only goal in a 1-0 win at Southampton.

And at the Amex, Frank Onyeka was not listed in the match day squad as Brentford held Brighton to a 3-3 draw.
