Victor Osimhen fired blanks again as Napoli fell 1-0 at home to AC Milan in Sunday’s Serie A top of the table clash.
Osimhen has now failed to score in his last three games for Napoli.
He has found the back of the net seven times after 18 league games in the Serie A.
Former Arsenal and Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud netted the only goal on 49 minutes, after redirecting a wayward Davide Calabria effort to give Milan a huge victory away to Napoli in the Scudetto race.
Osimhen went close to getting on the score sheet but fired straight at Mike Maignan after a give-and-go with Giovanni Di Lorenzo.
The Super Eagles striker had another chance but forced a Maignan save at the base of the near post.
Following the defeat, Napoli still occupy third spot on 57 points in the league table.
And Milan leapfrog Serie A champions Inter Milan to first spot on 60 points after 28 games played.
