Jones Oladeinde Arogbofa, a retired Brigadier General in the Nigerian Army, who served as Chief of Staff to former President Goodluck Jonathan is dead.
The retired military officer who was born November 10, 1952 in Oka-Akoko, Ondo State, died on Saturday morning at the age of 72.
While details of his demise are still sketchy at the time of filing this report, Arogbofa was commissioned into the Nigerian Army in 1973.
He became Chief of Staff to former President Jonathan from 10 February 2014 to 29 May 2015.
Arogbofa attended Obafemi Awolowo University, Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Alabama, United States Army Command and General Staff College, University of Lagos, and University of Ibadan.
At the time of his passing, Brigadier General Arogbofa served as the Chairman of the Center for Research, Information Management, and Media Development (CRIMMD).
