Nigeria’s D’Tigress lost 77- 63 to Germany in their first pre-Olympics friendly on Friday.

Forward Amy Okonkwo led the team in scoring with 16 points and two rebounds.

Elizabeth Balogun recorded 14 points and five rebounds.

Germany’s Alexis Peterson emerged as the game’s top scorer with 22 points.

D’Tigress will face Serbia in their next friendly on July 22, and will then à square up with Japan two days later.

Nigeria will face Australia, France and Canada at the Olympics.

Rena Wakama’s side previous appearance was in Athens 2004 and Tokyo 2020.

They failed to make it beyond group stage at both editions of the Olympics.
