Award-winning movie producer, Charles Okpaleke has unveiled plans to commence its first Nollywood animation immediately after COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

Last month, Charles Okpaleke’s “Living In Bondage: Breaking Free” was the biggest winner with a total of seven awards, at the 7th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award, AMVCA, held at the Eko expo hall, Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

‘Living in Bondage’ secured 7 awards out of 11 nominations including Best Overall Movie, Best Movie West Africa, Best Director, Best Writer in a Movie among others.

However, the filmmaker has taken to Instagram to and confirmed his company’s post COVID plans among other pending productions.

Okpaleke shared on Instagram: “We never stop. We are excited about our new Animation studio project. I think Nigeria is ripe for some Nollywood Animation blockbusters, let’s change the narrative for our kids as well! Post Covid would be amazing by Gods grace”.

Play Network studios’ debut feature film, ‘Living in Bondage Breaking Free’ was released in 2019 to rave reviews some of which were for its impeccable production quality.

In 2020, Okpaleke announced the production of three more Nollywood classics- ‘Rattle Snake’, ‘Nneka the Pretty Serpent’ and ‘Glamour Girls’.
