Titilayo Daniel was a victim of ‘one-chance’
A woman who was a victim of “one-chance” operators has narrated her experience during and after the attack in her quest to get justice.
Titilayo Daniel said she got into a car at Gwarimpa express at 9:30pm, not knowing the occupants were criminals.
While in the car, she was beaten till she bled and her phone, laptop and ATM cards were collected.
The attackers then took her card and withdrew her money while she was still in the car.
She was dropped off in Kubwa, Abuja, after 2 hours.
She said she reported the incident to the police and they asked her to get a CCTV footage from the bank where the criminals made use of her ATM.
She went to the bank and they showed her the CCTV footage but refused to release it for the investigation.
She said this has slowed the investigation and she shared her plight with Human RIghts activist, Segun Awosanya, aka Segalink on Twitter.
Sharing her story had the needed effect and she took to Twitter to reveal that the police are now taking action.
She wrote: “Thank you guys for your kind words, likes, retweets and time, I’m grateful. I got a call from the police and necessary actions are in place, will keep you guys updated. Thanks.”
