President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday, addressed Nigerians on the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak which hit Nigeria about three weeks ago.

He noted that protecting Nigerians from COVID-19 is a key priority for his administration.

2. Lagos Records 3 Fresh Coronavirus Case

The Lagos State Government on Sunday evening recorded fresh three cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Naija News reports that 2 out of the three cases were returning from travel and one is a contact of a confirmed case.

3. Sanwo-Olu Orders Workers To Stay At Home Over Coronavirus

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on Sunday directed all civil servants in the state on grade levels 1-12 to stay at home for the next 14 days due to the deadly coronavirus.

Naija News reports that the governor gave the directive during a live broadcast on Sunday.

4. Coronavirus: Oyedepo Tackles Buhari Govt For Shutting Down Schools, Malls

The General Overseer of Living Faith Chruch, also known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, has berated the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration over moves to tackle coronavirus.

Naija News reports that most states alongside the federal government had ordered the closure of schools to contain the spread of COVID-19.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said God allowed Coronavirus to plague the earth to prove to the world that he’s still God Almighty and in control of the whole earth.

Addressing members of RCCG, the popular cleric stated that God would remove the COVIS-19 disease after proving to the world that he is still supreme.

As parts of efforts to curb the spread of Coronavirus, the Lagos Bus Services Limited (LBSL) yesterday banned passengers from standing in buses

This was made know in a statement issued by the the LBSL’s Public Affairs Officer, Mr Afolabi Olawale.

Oyo State government led by Governor Seyi Makinde on Sunday morning confirmed the first of Coronavirus in Oyo.

8. Trump Backs Use of Chloroquine For Coronavirus

United States President, Donald Trump, has insisted that chloroquine is effective for the treatment of the dreaded coronavirus (COVID-19).

In a post on his Twitter page, Trump said the drug was potent and can be used to cure cases of the global pandemic.

The breakdown of states in Nigeria with cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) has emerged.
