The former senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Dino Melaye has sent out condolences to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello who lost his mother recently.

The condolence is coming as a surprise to everyone who knows the political history between the two politicians.

Last year was heated up during the Kogi State elections that saw Yahaya Bello return as the Governor of the state for a second term.

Dino Melaye accused the governor of sending thugs to disrupt the elections and to help Smart Adeyemi win the Senatorial seat for Kogi West.

Notwithstanding, Dino Melaye seems to have buried the hatchet as he sent this condolence to Yahaya Bello via his Twitter handle

“May the soul of the mother of Governor Yahaya Bello rest in peace. May God grant the governor and the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. No mother is old enough to die. My condolences.”

It is, however, uncertain if Yahaya Bello will respond to the condolence.
