The dethroned Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, on Friday performed first public function, leading other Muslim faithful Juma’at in Awe, Nasarawa State, in a two-pillar prayer.
Report indicated that Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State was in attendance at the congregation.
It was disclosed that El-Rufai who is still with the ousted Emir in Awe, is the first high profile guest allowed to visit the dethroned royal father since he was banished to Nasarawa State.
Several other traditional rulers from Awe and the neighbourhood participated in the Juma’at ministered by Sanusi II on Friday.
