Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday paid solidarity visit to President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Abuja.

The meeting held briefly behind closed doors, thereafter, President Buhari saw Jonathan off at the forecourt of the State House.

The former President visited his predecessor at a time Buhari is facing turbulent times over rising insecurity in the country which precipitated call on Wednesday by a senator for his resignation.

President Buhari had earlier in the day held security meeting with the service chiefs and principal officers in the presidency, including the Minister of Defence.
