Man United have been eager to offload Alexis Sanchez who has largely under-performed despite his huge weekly wages at the Old Trafford side as this attempt would help them to at least regularize and salvage their unbalanced wage structure.
However, all efforts to achieve the above have often met a brick wall due to the Chilean enormous wage demand. Sanchez, who is paid a basic £400,000-a-week before bonuses that potentially take him past the £500k mark, has proved difficult.
National Daily learned from the latest development of Sanchez proposed loan transfer to Inter Milan that the Italian giant are demanding United to pay half of the wages of Alexis Sanchez in order to offload him from Old Trafford.
According to the reports National Daily gathered from The Mirror, Inter chiefs have held talks with Sanchez and his advisers over a switch to San Siro, but are unwilling to take on the full load.
As such, to get Sanchez out the door, United will have to continue paying 50 per cent of his salary to ensure a deal.
Inter are looking to complete switch that could become permanent, if Sanchez impresses, for £14million at the end of the season. It’s believed that they won’t pay an initial loan fee
