
The D’Tigress have won the FIBA Women’s Afrobasket by defeating Senegal 60 -55
Nigeria won the 1st Quarter 10-14, 18-14 in the 2nd Quarter and then 16-14 in the 3rd Quarter but the Senegalese turned the table around in Quarter 4 and it ended 18-12 against D’Tigress.
D’Tigresses are back to back champions of the FIBA Afrobasket for women and with this, they’ve also qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
They have now played 13 unbeaten games since 2015 and the 2nd team after Angola to successfully defend the title.
