All African Games 2019:Team Nigeria Lands in Rabat

A total of 294 delegates that includes athletes, coaches, Sports ministry officials and journalists for the 12th edition of the 2019 All African Games arrived in Rabat, Morocco on Friday.

The Nigerian delegation departed the Nnamadi Azikiwe international airport Abuja aboard an Air Peace chartered aircraft around 6.20 am on Friday and touched down exactly 10:38am.

Present at the Abuja airport to see off the Nigerian contingent was the Permanent Secretary of the ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Mr.Olusade Adesola.

Team Nigeria will compete in 22 sports at the Africa’s Olympics.

The federal government had on Wednesday handed team Nigeria to the president of the Nigeria Olympic Committee NOC, Engr.Habul Gumel.

Some of the athletes who spoke to thebreakingtimes.com expressed optimism that they will do the nation proud.

The 2019 All African Games will be hosted in Rabat,Morocco from August 19th to August 30th.
