Former Education minister, Oby Ezekwesili, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of running a government of tooth-picking.
According to the former Minister, the level of “incompetence” witnessed under Buhari’s administration has become “too costly and unsustainable.”
She stated this in a post on her official Twitter handle on Monday while responding to a photo of Buhari relaxing in his office and tooth-picking his teeth.
Ezekwesili, who wondered why the Presidency and its allies could publish such a picture for public views, said the development was a celebration of “deadly incompetence to a stratospheric realm.”
She wrote: “But then, it really is governance of tooth-picking. That a Presidency @AsoRock and their allies, found this unflattering ‘Fiddling-Nero-type-picture’ of the @NGRPresident worthy of public view, really does take their celebration of deadly Incompetence to a stratospheric realm.
“Let their coterie of genuflecting sycophants order more toothpicks for @NGRPresident @MBuhari to idle away in that refuse-bin defaced room of the @AsoRock.
“Let @AsoRock and its crew continue to dwell in their Parallel Universe.
“The Real World is where our citizens live. @YeleSowore is unconstitutionally and unlawfully detained for calling out the deadly incompetence.
“Not even the Judiciary is spared this spread of deadly incompetence.
“Nigeria and Nigerians shall surely survive a warped political culture that emboldens and rewards incompetence.
“@YeleSowore has raised issues that are never going away until addressed. Here’s the thing.
“This level of incompetence is too costly and unsustainable. You may detain him but those words can never be detained.
“The issues @YeleSowore boldly protested are true words.
“For citizens to dare to overthrow entrenched mediocrity served them as their National Value is the most Patriotic Act that Nigerians will yet achieve. It will grow just like a mustard seed does.
“It is an ‘Idea whose Time shall Come’. #RevolutionNow can never be detained.”
