Back in March, Tay Iwar dropped his debut album, Gemini, an absolutely flawless tape that was predominantly produced by Tay himself. Of the four songs that weren’t produced by Tay, two were handled by budding beatsmith, Le Mav

In a recent interview on Beats 1’s Soulection Radio, Tay Iwar announced that there’s lots more to come from he and Le Mav, teasing a joint project coming out this year, as well as a new unreleased track, “Selfish“.

After tearing up the stage at the Soulection Somerset House Series, Tay Iwar joined Soulection radio host, Joe Kay to discuss everything from his Bantu Studio to his peers in the game, before delivering an outstanding live performance of “Miracle Girl” and “Selfish”.

Describing the first time he and Le Mav met, Tay Iwar tells Joe Kay just how hard-working his frequent collaborator is, revealing that before their 12 pm meeting, Le Mav had already produced five fire beats. He then went on to announce the joint project with Le Mav.

Given the quality of “Fools” and “Stranger” — the two songs off Gemini that were produced by Le Mav — it’s pretty clear that both stars are a match made in heaven, so we are obviously super excited for this upcoming body of work.
