Ahead of his second studio album, Eternal Atake, American rapper, Lil Uzi Vert has released “That’s A Rack” and “Sanguine Paradise”, both accompanied by Daps-directed music videos — with the gory clip for the latter standing as one of the British-Nigerian director’s best videos to date.
Co-produced by Oogie Mane and Brandon Finessin, the impressive “Sanguine Paradise” is a rather boastful track, upon which Lil Uzi Vert brags about his very large house, his fancy watches, his designer outfits and, of course, the beautiful lady he gets to call his girl.
The video for “Sanguine Paradise” — inspired by the 1998 vampire thriller, Blade — begins with Lil Uzi Vert being led to a vampire dive bar. Acting as a soundtrack to Lil Uzi Vert’s blood-soaked film, parts of the song are repressed to reflect the action going on in the clip.
Although we do get to enjoy Lil Uzi’s stunning “Sanguine Paradise”, we also get to hear the crowd’s screams when they turn into vampires; swords swinging when a battle breaks out; and the sounds of gunshots as Lil Uzi makes an escape.
Lil Uzi Vert is known for his eccentricity, so we really aren’t shocked that he would deliver such an enthralling music video. Enlisting Daps for the job was a truly wise move, as the director, who never disappoints, really outdoes himself on this one.
