The abducted students of LEA Primary school in Kuriga, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna state have regained their freedom after 16 days in captivity.
Governor Uba Sani disclosed the news in a statement issued on Sunday in Kaduna.
Kanyi Daily News recalls that on March 7, terrorists stormed LGEA Primary School, Kuriga early in the morning when they had just finished the morning assembly and abducted scores of students and teachers.
The Kuriga school children abduction had sparked widespread concern and garnered national attention.
As the rescued students begin their journey towards recovery from this traumatic experience, efforts are underway to provide them with the necessary support and counseling to aid in their healing process.
