Kano Governor hosts World Bank delegation

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, on Monday, received the World Bank Country Director in Nigeria, Shubham Chaudhuri, and his team at the Government House, Kano.

Yusuf made this known on his X handle, on Tuesday.

The governor lauded the World Bank’s initiatives in education, healthcare, climate change, and other sectors in Kano and south continued support from the bank.

Sharing photos from the visit, he wrote, “Pleased to host the World Bank Country Director in Nigeria, Mr. Shubham Chaudhuri, along with his team, at the Government House yesterday.

“I used the opportunity to commend the World Bank for their various initiatives in education, healthcare, climate change and other sectors in Kano.

“I also appealed for more commitment from the bank in Kano State, as the state government under my leadership is a committed partner for the bank and other development partners.

“Overall, we had a great engagement, and I thank Mr. Chaudhuri and the WB team for their support.”
