folorunsho alakija
Africa’s richest woman, Folorunsho Alakija, has shared a cryptic post on social media amidst rumours that her 30-year-old marriage to husband Modupe Alakija has hit the rocks.
Recent reports alleged that the mother of four separated from her husband and sent him out of their home in the Ikoyi area of Lagos State over incessant quarrels.
In what appeared to be a reaction to the reports, Folorunsho wrote in a post on her verified X handle on Monday: “Your heart will not be broken by evil-doers. Negativity will not break your heart. The enemies will not break your heart. Nothing shall threaten your peace. You will have peace in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Your peace will be all around and intact.”
Folorunsho is the group managing director of The Rose of Sharon Group and the executive vice chairman of Famfa Oil Limited.
According to Forbes magazine, she is worth over $1 billion amassed from the oil and gas sector.
Below are some reactions to her tweet:
@EmmanuelApara1 wrote, “Hello ma’am @alakijaofficial. There are rumours speculating around that you’re now divorced. Could you please clear us if this is valid or not. We need to hear from the horse’s mouth. Thanks in anticipation ma’am.”
@ProxiMusic: “True love is never appreciated. True love suffers long. Jesus Christ did it and never demanded too much. In all points, he was exploited, yet he didn’t ask for the price from us.
“The world can never appreciate true love. Ma’am, live free & enjoy Ur freedom in Christ.”
