
President Bola Tinubu is set to embark on a condolence visit to Ondo State, where he will pay respects to the late Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, in Owo.
Following this, President Tinubu plans to extend his visit to the Olowo of Owo Kingdom, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye, before proceeding to meet with Chief Reuben Fasoranti, the national leader of the pan-Yoruba socio-political organization, Afenifere, in Akure, the state capital.
Accompanied by the state Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, as well as some national and state leaders of the All Progressives Congress, President Tinubu aims to offer his condolences and support during these visits.
At Chief Fasoranti’s residence in Akure, preparations are underway as chieftains of Afenifere await the President’s arrival.
Ahead of the visit, heightened security measures have been put in place, with a notable presence of armed security personnel in Akure and Owo communities.
