The Nasarawa State Police Command arrested 10 suspected internet fraudsters, widely recognized as Yahoo boys, within the Keffi Local Government Area of the state.

The statement by the command’s spokesperson, Ramhan Nansel, stated that the arrests took place on Wednesday after receiving credible information about the arrival of the suspects in the area.

According to the PPRO, the suspects had in their possession two laptops, 10 high-end mobile phones of various brands, three WIFI routers, as well as criminal charms, black soap, and narcotics, including “Loud weed” and dried leaves suspected to be marijuana

The suspects have confessed to being into internet fraud popularly known as Yahoo Plus and shall be charged to court for prosecution once the investigation is concluded.

“The Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada psc, mni has commended the officers for a job well done and urged them to sustain raids on all criminal hideouts”, the statement added.

Kanyi Daily recalls that a newborn baby boy, delivered by emergency Caesarean Section, was abducted shortly after birth at Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital (DASH) in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State.
