Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has rewarded Super Eagles goalkeper, Stanley Nwabali with N20m for his impressive performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Fubara also bestowed on Nwabali the honour of Distinguished Service Star of Rivers State.
The state’s number one citizen also announced a N30m reward for the backroom staff of the Super Eagles.
Nwabali was one of the top performers for the Super Eagles at the recently concluded AFCON 2023 finals hosted by Cote d’Ivoire.
The 26-year-old featured in all of Nigeria’s seven games in the competition.
The shot stopper was named Man of the Match in the Super Eagles semi-final victory against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
Nwabali has been linked with a move away from South African club, Chippa United following his impressive displays in Cote d’Ivoire.
