It has been a while since AYLØ released new music, but thanks to his indelible hits — from “Gardens” to “STILL II.” — he has remained one of our favourite rising stars. Now, to prepare us for his sophomore project, dnt’dlt, he has dropped a video for the tape’s lead single, “Paris!”.

As the hypnotic “Paris!” begins, Odunsi (The Engine) and Le Mav’s melancholic beat is given ample room to shine, with a long instrumental introduction setting a wistful mood before AYLØ’s vocals officially kick things off.

Though the lyrics are intentionally sparse, AYLØ’s focus on “Paris!” is clearly to show off his vocal skills, dishing out layers of powerful harmonies that place emphasis upon the weighted emotions he conveys throughout the track.

On “Paris!”, we learn that AYLØ is mesmerised by a girl — a relationship the monochromatic video explores. Concentrating on the object of AYLØ’s desires, the clip helps explain why he is so captivated, as we are given front row seats to her alluring seductions.
