Considering Education as the bedrock of every meaningful society, Dr Hafiz Baba, carve a niche for himself a devoted tutor of life and a lecturer in one of the most reputable tertiary institution in Nigeria, Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi  for decades of  selfless service to the development of Bauchi state stressing emphasis on the legacies of the person the polytechnic was immortalized late Tatari Ali of blessed memory.

Dr. Hafiz Baba, was born and raised in one of the humblest family in Bauchi state who has record of dedicated service to humanity and passion of the transformation of Bauchi state that produced the prime minister of Nigeria Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Sa’adu Zungur, Dr. Ibrahim Tahir, and Governor Bala Mohamed just to mention few out of the best fifty global recognized Educationist the state produced where Dr. Hafiz luckily found himself among according to the latest revelation by the Technocrats under the forum for ‘True illustrious sons and Daughters of the state’. His inclusion was a glaring evidence of achievements as pedagogue.

The pathetic situation of the ATAP, BAUCHI, desperately requires the service of its true builder, who over the years salvage himself to the onerous task of its development. Sadly, the burglars carted away school properties due to negligence, corruption penetrate some sections, favoritism in choice of positions in various, delay in payment of salaries and stipend to casuals, amongst others. Objectively, Dr Suleiman Lame’s tenure was guided by Dr. Hafiz, a period that remain the best tenure for overhaul and physical development and transformation in the areas of additional accredited courses aside from capacity building of the institution to a full pledge polytechnic that is offering Higher National Diploma in advance marketable courses to specialized courses to a degree courses in affiliation with the ATBU for the first time the history of the oldest polytechnic in the northern part of Nigeria. Since then, the polytechnic began to collapsed the successor allegedly abuse power because of his ignorant administrative experience. The last four years before now was a disappointment and disgrace to the people of the state who are proud of the institution based on the Senator Bala Mohamed desire to uplift and reputation of polytechnic. Kudos to the Governor for prompt and rightful decision to suspend the immediate rector of the polytechnic for sanity and strengthen as well as forestall the good reputation of the maturing polytechnic that was sanitary build by Dr Hafiz Baba and co for years in fulfilment of oath of allegiance to Bauchi state government.

One assurance Governor Bala, should know about Dr. Hafiz is his long-term desire to consolidate his lofty programs for the development of the school, the governor would have his eyes close for having him as the captain of the school he nurtured, his passion to offer free education to the vulnerable and the less-privilege in the state can be guaranteed, already, not fewer than twenty beneficiaries are not his personal payroll, therefore if given chance to champion the course of the Abubakar Tatari Ali polytechnic, Bauchi, he would redouble the Governor’s lofty goals.

Another thing, Dr. Hafiz can bring are most needed science courses which is part of governor Bala’s aim of encouraging technological innovations and enhancement capacity of talented indigenes of the state who were deprived opportunities to explore their potentials. History has it that; Dr. Hafiz, personally as a gesture personally sponsored one hundred children to advance knowledge on modern scientific know how in other to consolidate the dream of Governor Bala Mohamed.

The successes recorded in the recent gubernatorial election in Bauchi state north to be specific was courtesy of Dr. Hafiz, he personally mobilized thousands of students to votes for continuity of the government believing his first four years was a tremendous urban renewal project that spark plug all and sundry and the educational sector that witnessed unquantified funding etc.

Dr Hafiz can be fit for the Abubakar Tatari Ali’s polytechnic Rector’s position based on his vast experiences in the service with the Polytechnic since 11th December, 2006. Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic, Bauchi Nigeria.
