The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) has increased the price of petrol to N617 per litre in Abuja.
Kanyi Daily News can authoritatively confirm the news. A firsthand investigation conducted by our reporter at a Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), filling station in the Central area of Abuja verified the adjustment in fuel price, which has risen from N539 to N617 per litre.
Further corroboration came from a customer who affirmed the development, stating,
“It is true, I just bought at N617 per liter.
While the immediate cause of this increase remains unclear, it is believed to be linked to recent projections made by oil marketers, who anticipate the fuel price to reach N700 per litre in the near future.
As of the time of this report, the Nigeria Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NDMPRA) is yet to make an official statement regarding the latest development.
