JUST IN: BBNaija’s Rico Swavey Dies, Days After Car Accident

The 2018 Big Brother Nigeria (BBNaija) housemate, Patrick Fakoya, popularly known as Rico Swavey, has died.

This comes a few days after he was involved in a car accident.

Rico Swavey Is Dead

His fellow ex-BBNaija housemate, Alex Asogwa, broke the news on Twitter on Thursday morning.

“This was not what we agreed Rico. Rest in peace,” she wrote in the terse post.

Reality TV star, Tobi Bakre also confirmed Swavey’s death on the microblogging site.

“We lost him. but thanks a lot guys. God knows best,” he wrote.

The ex-BBNaija’s demise comes a few hours after his management announced he was on life support.

His team wrote on Wednesday, “Hello everyone, Rico Swavey is not disposed to handle his socials right now as he was involved in a ghastly accident and is currently on life support. While his situation is critical and doctors are on him, We implore your support and prayers.”

Swavey’s colleagues also launched a fundraiser to facilitate his treatment.

The fundraiser, which targets N30 million naira, was initiated by Tobi Bakre, Leo DaSilva, and Eloswag.

The deceased participated in the 2018 edition of the reality TV show titled “Double Wahala” — which Miracle Igbokwe won.

Meanwhile, Kanyi Daily reported that former BBNaija housemate, Cross was arrested by the police In South Africa.
