The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, Lagos State Governor-elect, Jide Sanwo-Olu, and others attended the funeral prayers of the deceased father of the Lagos Deputy Governor-Elect, Obafemi Hamzat on Monday.
The Deputy governor-elect lost his father, Oba Mufutau Olatunji Hamzat, the traditional ruler of Afowowa Kingdom in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State on Sunday. He was aged 86.
Sanwo-Olu shared photos of the funeral prayers on his Twitter handle and wrote, “In all things, we give thanks. @drobafemihamzat’s father Oba Mufutau Olatunji Hamzat, Olu of Afowowa was laid to rest this morning. My wife & I joined the national leader of our party Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, other party chieftains, friends & well-wishers at the burial.”
Also at the Islamic funeral rites was the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Oluranti Adebule.
