Senator Abubakar Sodangi, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa state, has tipped President Muhammadu Buhari to win the rescheduled presidential election on February 23.
Sodangi made the prediction on Monday, while speaking on the postponement of the polls in an interview with newsmen in Nasarawa, Nasarawa Local Government Area of the state.
He said that Buhari had done a lot to transform the nation’s economy and wellbeing of the citizenry.
According to him, “by the grace of God, we will emerge victorious during the polls.
“My party, the APC has done a lot, especially in the area of security, anti-corruption war and economy, which have direct bearing on the lives of Nigerians.
“Also Gov.Tanko Al-Makura has done his best in transforming the state and we are happy with his developmental strides.
“So, because of what the president has done, the electorate are eager to re-elect him for second term,” Sodangi said.
The former legislator described Buhari not only as an anti-corruption crusader but a man of integrity.
He, therefore, appealed to Nigerians to vote massively for the re-election of the president. He also advised Nigerians to be law abiding, peaceful before, during and after the polls.
Sodangi, who represented Nasarawa West in the Senate from 1999 to 2011 on the platform of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, joined APC in 2016.
