Idris Déby Itno: Late President Idriss Deby Son Takes Over As Chadian President

Idris Déby Itno, the son of the late President Idriss Déby of Chad, has been named the new leader of the country following the death of his father Idriss Deby.

The 37-year-old son army general has just been appointed to lead the military council following the death of his father.

The late Idriss Deby was confirmed dead an hour ago after he sustained injuries in a fight with the rebels over the weekend.
