Gunmen Kill Bike Rider, Abduct Local Government Chairman In Kaduna

The Chairman of the Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Mr Katuka Humble, has been reportedly abducted by gunmen at Kiduni village in the Chikun Local Government Area of the state.

A source said Humble was being conveyed to his farm on a motorcycle on Sunday when the hoodlums opened fire, killing the rider on the spot, before taking away the chairman.

“The chairman was kidnapped on his way to the farm on Sunday. The farm is located somewhere around Kiduni in Chikun LGA.

“I understand that a bike man was taking him to the farm. The bandits shot at them and killed the bike man and kidnapped the chairman,” the source said.

The Public Relations Officer of the state police command, ASP Mohammed Jalige, could not be reached for comment at the time of filing this report.

KanyiDaily had also reported how about 100 gunmen stormed Sokoto Police station, killed the DPO and one inspector of police during gun fight.
