The PUNCH reports that some suspected political thugs numbering about fifty on Thursday invaded the secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists in Bauchi State during a press conference by one of the factions of the All Progressives Congress in the state.
It took the quick intervention of the police led by the Police Public Relations Officer, Bauchi State Police Command, Ahmed Wakili, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, to save the press centre from being vandalized by the thugs who were armed.
The thugs stormed the NUJ Secretariat located on the Ahmadu Bello Way in the state capital.
