World club Rankings 2019: Nigerian Clubs Out of Top 200; Enugu Rangers Ranked 236th

No Nigerian club has made it into the top 200 of the world club rankings for the year 2019, according to the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) which compiles an annual poll of the top international clubs, Completesports.com reports.

The Nigerian club with the highest ranking is Enugu Rangers FC who occupy the 236th position with 84.5 points after moving up
from 431st place in the year 2018.

Enyimba International Football Club are the next Nigerian club on the list in the 263rd spot alongside Spartak Moscow of Russia and FK Kairat of Kazakhstan with 78.5 points.

Enyimba moved up from 548 on the rankings in 2018 to 263 last year. Lobi Stars are next for Nigeria in 303 with USM Alger of Algeria with 73 points. Lobi climbed up from 588th spot into their current placing.

In Africa, Esperance of Tunisia were in first place, achieving the highest ranking for an African club of 19th place.

There are 11 African clubs in the world top 100.

Etoile Sahel of Tunisia were second, Wydad Casablanca third and Al Ahly fourth in the continental ranking. The top African league is Ligue 1 of Tunisia, ranked 15th in the world, followed by Morocco (17) and Egypt in 30th place.
