Nigerian Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare has led the nation’s sports fraternity to pay tribute to basketball icon, Kobe Bryant who died in an helicopter crash on Sunday alongside his daughter and seven other persons, Completesports.com reports.
The tragic news shocked the entire world with top sports personalities expressing their condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the tragic incident.
The sports minister, Dare took to his Tweeter handle to mourn the late LA Lakers star who is regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time.
“I join the rest of the sporting world, particularly basketball lovers to mourn the death of one of the basketball greats- Kobe Bryant. His death is heart wrenching and concentrates the mind. God knows best ! No one knows,” Tweeted the sports
minister.
Former Super Eagles and Inter Milan midfielder, Victor Moses also pays his respect to the late basketball star as well as former Nigeria and Shanghai Shenhua striker, Odion Ighalo.

“Words cannot describe the pain and hurt I’m feeling about this news. My love and strength goes out to Kobe’s family and all of those affected by this tragic event,” Moses tweeted,
while Ighalo Tweeted ‘three heartbreak’ signs.
Former Nigeria international and two-time African Fooballer of the Year, Nwankwo Kanu also paid his tribute to Kobe Bryant.
“Sad sad sad R.I.P champ,” Kanu tweeted.
